CFL Quarterbacks

The quarterback is the most valuable position in football and runs the offense. So here are the top 10 CFL QBs

                                                    1. Ricky Ray

Leader in touchdowns, leader in yards, highest completion percentage and leader in completions, about the only                                                                                  knock on him is that he couldn’t lead the Double Blue to a Grey Cup title and is getting up there in age as he is 35                                                                                  and will retire soon

                                                  2. Bo Levi Mitchell

The Calgary quarterback is at the top of the Canadian football landscape and for good reason as he is one of the                                                                                   best in the league and we can prove it by saying that he had the best passer rating of all of the QBs in the top 10                                                                                     and the lowest interception percentage along with the highest touchdown percentage, good enough for you?

                                                       3. Mike Reilly

This guy will be a total stud for the Eskimos because he is a dual threat and very good at both aspects of the game,                                                                                he was 6th in passing yards and 8th in rushing yards. The rushing yards includes runningbacks and Reilly is not a                                                                                   runningback. He was also 4th in touchdowns and passer rating and 3rd in completion percentage.

4. Zach Collaros

2nd in completion percentage, 3rd in passer rating and 5th in touchdowns means that Hamilton absolutely stole this guy from Toronto. He almost led the Tiger-Cats to the final before losing on a memorable call on Brandon Banks in the last minute. He will be back for more soon

5. Drew Willy

The Winnipeg quarterback is third in yards and third in completions but 2nd in interceptions and interception percentage. He is a high risk and high reward player that can light up the league when he is having a good game. Now Winnipeg has some offensive lineman, look for him to have a breakout year.

6. Kevin Glenn

BC’s quarterback with Travis Lulay out for 17 games led the Lions to a playoff spot in the East as a crossover team. During the season, Glenn had the 4th most completions and the 3rd most touchdowns in the league. Saskatchewan has the best one two punch in the CFL at quarterback.

7. Henry Burris

Although playing on the expansion Ottawa Redblacks, Smilin’ Hank had the 2nd most completions of all QBs and was 4th in yards, leading the Redblacks to a 2-16 record. On a better team, he is still good. A knock on him is that he is getting up there in age as he will be 40 at the start of the season and will retire as one of the all time greats

8. Darian Durant

5th in passer rating and 5th in touchdown percentage but only played in 10 games due to an elbow injury caused on an unnecessary hit on September 9thand that shows how he can play very well when healthy.

9. Johnathan Crompton

Just like Durant, Crompton only played in 10 games and he won 8, leading the Alouettes from competing with Ottawa for last to the Eastern Final. With Duron Carter gone, we’ll see how Crompton does in a full season.

10. Travis Lulay

There is way too small of a sample size to accurately rank Lulay, so I have put him here. When healthy, he can dominate but he is injury prone.  Will he lead the Lions to Grey Cup glory or be injured again. That is why they play the games.
